How do fishes breathe in water?
Fish gills are organs that allow fish to breathe underwater. Most
fish exchange gases like oxygen and carbon dioxide using gills that
are protected under gill covers on both sides of the throat.Fish exchange gases by pulling oxygen-rich water through
their mouths and pumping it over their gills.
What are the uses of scales?(ചെതുമ്പലുകൾ കൊണ്ടുള്ള ഉപയോഗങ്ങൾ )
A fish scale is a small rigid plate that grows out of the skin of a
fish. The skin of most fishes is covered with these protective
scales.It protects fishes from heat and cold.
Difference between the scales of sardine(ചാള ) and mackerel(അയല )
The scales of the mackerel are so small,that its skin feels very soft.Sardine has no scales on its head ,and its scales are big.
Stingray fish(തിരണ്ടി)
Do you know? The eyes are on top of their bodies and their mouths on the
undersides, stingrays cannot see their prey after capture; instead,
they use smell. Stingrays settle on the bottom while feeding,
often leaving only their eyes and tails visible.
