5.20 am to 6 am = 40 minutes

 

6 am to 9 am = 3 hours

 

Total time taken to reach = 3hours and 40 minutes

 

 

 

*The train started from Panvel junction at 9.30 and reached Ratnagiri station at 16.35 .How much time did the train takes to reach Ratnagiri station?

 

 

9.30 am to 10 am = 30 minutes

 

10 am to 16 = 6 hours

 

16 hours to 16.35 =35 minutes

 

Total time taken

 

30minutes+35 minutes =65minutes

 

(65 minutes = 1 hour 5 minutes)

 

total= 6 hours +1hour 5 minutes=7 hours 5 minutes

*Nived's uncle started his journey from Ernakulam at 8 pm and reached Nived's house at 12.15 am.They spend 20 minutes in a hotel for dinner.How much time they taken for travelling?

 

  

8pm to 12.15 am =4 hours and 15 minutes

 

Time spend in the hotel = 20 minutes

 

Travelling time = 4.15 minutes - 20 minutes

 

(Let's write 4.15 minutes as 3hours and 75 minutes) 

3.75minutes - 20 minutes=3hours and 55 minutes.
